Bored with the same old, at your health club? Want to enjoy a variety of gym free workouts? That gives you the same great results, and at the same time put a smile on your face.
Joining a gym is a fantastic way to get fit, but it is not the only way you know. You can enjoy a variety of exercises at your home or outside that will give you the same great results to put a smile on your face!
We share some fun ways to get fit without a gym
Create your own boot camp
Boot camp-style workouts are a lot more fun. Everyone loves a challenge? You can create your own by doing strength and cardio exercises at home or at Outside Park—all you need is a good pair of sneakers!
Try jumping jacks, lunges, high knees, push-ups, triceps dips (off a bench or curb), and sit-ups like military does. You can do each exercise for about 60 to 90 seconds; do take a break in between exercises as you require. Repeat the whole thing two or three times.
Join a team
Sometimes dragging yourself to the gym can be, well, a drag. How about signing up for an adult sports league? Sports literally make a game out of working out, so you will get your heart rate up, burn calories, and have a good time doing it. It is a lot more than you do in a gym.
If you missed the chance to sign up for a team, offer to be an alternate. When the season gets going and schedules get busy, teams often need extra players, so you will be the first person to call you.
Take a walking tour of your city
Walking is an easy way to stay in shape because all it requires is only a pair of supportive shoes and it is something you can do anywhere.
The fun way to spice up your workout is by signing up for a walking tour of your city (3-4 miles walk is recommended) or nearby historic place. You can learn something new while fitting in a workout!
Turn chores into a workout
Want to tackle your chores and burning calories at the same time? Now you are talking about killing two birds with one stone!
The key to turning your cleaning activities into a workout is focusing on the ones that is the highest calorie burn one, e.g. scrubbing the tub or vacuuming. To get yourself in a right way, throw on your sneakers and put on some upbeat music. If you want a real challenge, do some push-ups or squats every time a new song starts to play.
