Summer headaches are invariably triggered by weather changes and can occur anytime and could last for 30 min to 4 or 6 hrs. During these constant headaches below are the symptoms that people may experience:
- Extreme pain in temples
- Pain behind ears
- Tiredness of eyes
- Watering of eyes and nose
Every time you are exposed to sun, especially in summer, you would face the above symptoms. Following are some tips to keep your headaches this summer.
Protect yourself from direct sun
Do not keep head uncovered during summers! Use ample amount of sunscreens, sun glasses, use scarf, cap or hat to cover your face. We would advise you to stay home during those blistering days, but for the adventurous ones who do not listen, it is better to keep themselves protected from the sun if you do not want the rest of your day ruined.
Keep your sunscreen close and water bottle closer
The main cause of persistent headache is dehydration. The amount of water we drink is not enough for our body to cope up during summers. Stop drinking sodas, alcohol and caffeine that are main causes of dehydration. Instead opt for fruit juices, watermelon is our favorite
Limit strenuous activities
Do exercise for maintaining your fitness level, but don’t overdo it. Avoid strenuous activities, however swimming is a good choice, it keeps you fit and refreshed.
Stay away from perfumes and fragrances
If you are one of those who loves perfumes and revealing luxurious amount of perfumes and fragrances then you might start avoiding it, if you suffer from constant headaches. This may be a reason for irritation.
Eat, drink and sleep well
Having enough sleep can help you way long to relieve you of summer headaches. A healthy routine is what you want. Not completing stipulated amount of sleep (7 to 8 hrs a day) is not a smartest thing to do. You will end up being grumpy entire day. So have enough sleep, after all its summer!
