Kidneys are the two vital organs in human body and they are responsible for clearing waste materials from our body. It balances body fluids from urine and the other important functions of human body. Kidney processes the blood every day to sift out waste products and extra water, which in turn becomes urine that flows to the bladder through the ureters (the tube that carries urine from the kidney to the urinary bladder).
If waste materials are not eliminated correctly, toxic materials can build up in the body and it cause problems such as stones in kidney and high blood pressure. So you have to cleanse your kidney from toxins, improved urine flow and improved kidney functions.
Foods that Cleanse Your Kidney
A balance diet ensures that you get all the minerals and vitamins your body requires. Fruits and vegetables improve kidney function. If you suffer from kidney disease, you may have some nutritional restrictions that your doctor recommended. You may need to avoid certain foods if you have kidney damage, for example following low-potassium or low-phosphorous diet. The kidney has ability to cleanse itself if you consume enough amounts of fluids that come from foods like fruits and vegetables as well as water and other liquids.
Water
For a healthy kidney staying hydrated and keeping your urine diluted is very important. Water is best option and drinking plenty of water throughout a day helps your kidney to work properly. Staying hydrated is especially important if you exercise regularly or in a hot weather. In situation like these you need to drink more and more water than usual to make up for the fluid lost during sweating.
If you have kidney disease, you may not need much water, because damaged kidneys simply cannot get rid of extra fluids as they should. Depending on the stage of kidney disease and treatment, your doctor will tell you to limit fluid consumption.
Watermelon
This fruit contains a lot of water and has a function of diuretic which makes people to urinate more as to remove wastes from the body.
Lemon Juice
Lemon juice helps to reduce kidney stone formation. You can also use apple cider vinegar instead of lemon. Mix 6 teaspoons in about a gallon of purified water and drink it throughout the day.
Apples
Apples are rich in antioxidants, fiber and have anti-inflammatory compounds which can improve kidney function.
